I am Sara, an artist whose work blends realism and expressionism, specializing in figurative and still life paintings and drawings. I work primarily in soft pastels, oil, and watercolor paints.
Although I studied science academically, my desire to paint never faded. From a young age, I was drawn to creative expression, influenced by my parents who were both skilled in art and math. I found inspiration through visits to museums and art shows, which eventually led me to enroll in art classes—first at a community college in Michigan, and later at the Gage Academy of Art in Seattle. There, my technical skills flourished, allowing me to develop a more confident and personal visual language.
My art reflects both observation and emotion, capturing the quiet beauty of ordinary moments with depth and sensitivity.
